Humble Inquiry

Edgar H. Schein, an organizational psychologist and professor emeritus at MIT Sloan, coins the concept behind the title in "Humble Inquiry" (2013): the art of asking questions you don't already know the answer to, rather than telling, instructing, or assuming. The book argues this matters especially in hierarchical or time-pressured environments, where the instinct usually runs the other way.
